2023 Goals
Yes, okay, the banner is a bit belated, but still, let’s all hope for a great year in 2023!
Now, onto…
After posting how I did on last years’ goals (not bad on the whole!) I turn to the plan for this year.
First and foremost are the novels. I want to finish Treadwell House – Sanctuary first. It’s at 25,000 words of an estimated 75,000 now, so finishing it should be pretty do-able.
Then I need to write the next book in the Market Center Mysteries series. I don’t have a title yet, since I haven’t decided what kind of show will be the setting. But I left Heather in an unhappy place at the end of Playing at Murder, so I need to get back there and help her heal from the trauma.
I still like the idea of increasing my inventory of short stories, so I’m setting a goal of writing five again this year and submitting at least three. We’ll see. And I plan to continue work on the audiobook experiment. I’d like to have an audio version of A Vampire’s Christmas Carol ready for next Christmas.
I’ve been an on and off blogger. I’m going to try to set a goal of at least one post per week. This is a new one to the list and involves creating a new habit.
On the personal front – since I finished the family photo album scans, my next project is to work on a personal memoir, requested by one of my children. I also want to investigate as much of my family background as possible while scanning some older family pictures for archival purposes.
And the quest to eliminate ‘stuff’ from my life continues. My goal has long been to get rid of one thing a day. I have good streaks and then times when I forget. I’m posting a reminder to myself to keep at it.
