I was delighted to find this amazing post on how to watch the entire Star Wars series without wanting to crawl under your chair during the worst parts of the “Prequels”:

Try the Machete Order.  I think it’s a great plan.

The only thing I disagree with: The first of the “Prequels” wasn’t the worst of them. The second and third are tied for that honor. The first one had some terrific acting from Liam Neeson and Ewen MacGregor, and, as my son has pointed out, by far the best light-saber battle of the entire series.
