After reading the other stories they have posted, I\u2019m seriously honored to be among them!<\/p>\n<p>Some quick background on the story. I wrote the first version in one sitting about three years ago. I wrote it in response to a prompt from an anthology, which turned it down, saying it felt \u201cunfinished.\u201d They were right.
