{"id":141,"date":"2011-12-07T15:10:12","date_gmt":"2011-12-07T15:10:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kmccullough.com\/kblog\/?p=141"},"modified":"2011-12-07T15:10:12","modified_gmt":"2011-12-07T15:10:12","slug":"corporate-buzzword-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kmccullough.com\/kblog\/corporate-buzzword-story\/","title":{"rendered":"Corporate Buzzword Story"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As a former corporate bureaucrat and IT type, I like to keep up with that world even though I&#8217;m no longer part of it (and the only piece of it I miss is the paycheck).<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m newly enough recovered from it that when TechRepublic ran this story on corporate buzzwords, I nodded in agreement with each of them:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.techrepublic.com\/blog\/career\/most-despised-corporate-buzzwords\/3703?tag=nl.e101\">http:\/\/www.techrepublic.com\/blog\/career\/most-despised-corporate-buzzwords\/3703?tag=nl.e101<\/a><\/p>\n<p>(I don&#8217;t know if you have to register to see that or not.)<\/p>\n<p>My favorite part of it, though was one of the comments:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In one meeting I said &#8220;Bingo!&#8221; rather loudly.\u00a0 In the meeting where I spoke loudly the meeting&#8217;s leader hesitated a bit, then pointed to me and said, &#8220;See, he gets it!&#8221;\u00a0 Clueless&#8230; and a priceless story to tell people.\u00a0 That project failed miserably.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Credit to TechRepublic\u00a0member <a href=\"http:\/\/www.techrepublic.com\/members\/profile\/4585206?tag=discussion-asset-thread\" target=\"_blank\">DFO_REXX<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0a spectacular story<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a former corporate bureaucrat and IT type, I like to keep up with that world even though I&#8217;m no longer part of it (and the only piece of it I miss is the paycheck).
