Fall is probably my favorite time of the year.\u00a0 I love the colors, the cooler air after the hot summer, and the anticipation of the holidays. And the aromas of baking spicy, holiday treats. Below is a favorite of mine.<\/p>\n

And by the way, I use fresh pumpkin for this.\u00a0 I cut up my pumpkin after Halloween is over and use it for this.\u00a0I cut it up into four to eight large pieces, bake it in a hot (425 degrees) oven, then scoop the meat of the skin and put it in a blender, mashing it until smooth.\u00a0 I freeze whatever I don’t use right away.<\/p>\n

Pumpkin Bread<\/strong><\/p>\n

3 cups self-rising flour (or 3 cup plain flour + 4-5 tsp. baking powder and 1 tsp. salt)
\n3 tsp cinnamon
\nPinch of nutmeg
\n2 cups sugar
\n4 eggs, beaten
\n2 cups cooked, mashed pumpkin
\n1 cup melted butter<\/p>\n

Sift dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
\nForm a well in the center and eggs, pumpkin, and butter.
\nStir until moistened.
\nPour into 2 well-greased loaf pans
\nBake at 350 degrees, 45 \u2013 50 minutes.<\/p>\n

Their time gets short when the reverend realizes she\u2019s searching for the book and resorts to desperate measures to either retrieve or destroy it.<\/p>\n
